Maple Walnut Muffins

Description

Yummy! Try these tasty muffins for breakfast with a hot cup of coffee or tea.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup real maple syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a 12-cup muffin pan with paper baking cups.
  2. Sift together flour
  3. baking powder
  4. and salt in a large bowl; set aside.
  5. Cream butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Stir in maple syrup and eggs; beat until well blended. Add flour mixture alternately with milk
  6. beating just until combined. Stir in walnuts. Spoon batter into the prepared muffin cups
  7. filling each about 3/4 full.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean
  9. about 20 minutes. Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
