Emily’s Coleslaw

Description

Asian-type coleslaw. Tastes best if made at least 6 hours before serving. Leftovers are excellent.

Ingredients

  • 1 (28 ounce) package coleslaw mix
  • 1 (3 ounce) package beef-flavored ramen noodles
  • 1 cup sunflower seed kernels
  • ½ cup slivered almonds
  • ½ cup chopped green onions
  • 1 (4 ounce) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • ½ cup canola oil
  • ½ cup vinegar
  • ½ cup white sugar

Instructions

  1. Put coleslaw mix in a large bowl. Break ramen noodles into small pieces and add to the coleslaw mix; add sunflower seed kernels
  2. almonds
  3. green onions
  4. and water chestnuts.
  5. Whisk ramen noodle seasoning
  6. canola oil
  7. vinegar
  8. and sugar together in a separate bowl until the sugar is dissolved into the liquid; drizzle over the salad and toss to coat.
