Elnora’s Peach Cobbler

Description

This is my grandmother’s simple recipe. Only peaches and cobbler in Pennsylvania, no hiding the peach flavor with too many spices.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup white sugar (Optional)
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 4 cups sliced peaches
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar, or to taste (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease an 11×17-inch baking dish.
  2. Whisk milk
  3. flour
  4. and 1 cup sugar together in a bowl until blended; add butter. Stir to combine.
  5. Arrange peaches in prepared baking dish; sprinkle with 1 tablespoon sugar. Cover peaches with batter
  6. without stirring.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven until browned and bubbling
  8. about 40 minutes.

Cook Time: 40 mins

Total Time: 1 hr
