Barbeque Shredded Beef

Description

Very tasty on potato bread buns with sliced cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped onion, or more to taste
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 4 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 ½ pounds boneless beef chuck roast

Instructions

  1. Stir together tomato sauce
  2. onion
  3. brown sugar
  4. vinegar
  5. chili powder
  6. soy sauce
  7. salt
  8. and mustard in a slow cooker; add roast. Spoon onion mixture over roast to coat.
  9. Cook on High for 7 hours. Shred roast in the slow cooker with a pair of forks. Continue cooking for 1 hour more.
