Hamburgers with Mushroom Gravy

Description

Simple and delish! Serve immediately over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ½ cup panko bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (14 ounce) can beef consomme

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef
  2. egg
  3. panko bread crumbs
  4. onion
  5. and 1/4 cup cream of mushroom soup in a large bowl. Divide beef mixture evenly into 6 portions; shape each portion into a 1/2-inch-thick patty.
  6. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-heat. Cook the burgers until browned
  7. 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
  8. Whisk together remaining cream of mushroom soup and beef consommé in a bowl until smooth. Pour mixture over patties
  9. then reduce heat to low. Simmer until patties are no longer pink in the center
  10. about 20 minutes.
