Sourdough Croutons

Description

These crisp, buttery croutons are good on salads, soups or just as a snack. Toss the croutons in a salad or garnish a bowl of soup with them.

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup butter, melted
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 6 slices sourdough bread, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 2 teaspoons grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
  2. Combine melted butter
  3. Italian seasoning
  4. olive oil
  5. and kosher salt in a large bowl; add bread cubes and toss to coat. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the bread cubes; toss to coat. Spread onto a baking sheet.
  6. Bake in preheated oven
  7. stirring occasionally
  8. until lightly browned
  9. about 20 minutes.
