I tweaked this recipe for months until I came up with a very good clone of McDonald’s® famous tartar sauce.
Ingredients
- ½ cup mayonnaise (such as Kraft®)
- 3 ½ tablespoons dill pickle relish, divided
- 1 ½ teaspoons capers
- 2 tablespoons chopped onion, divided
- ½ teaspoon dried parsley flakes
- ½ teaspoon white sugar
Instructions
- Combine mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons relish
- 1 tablespoon chopped onion
- capers
- parsley
- and sugar in a blender until smooth.
- Transfer sauce to a bowl; stir in remaining 1 1/2 tablespoons relish and 1 tablespoon chopped onion. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
