In searching for a ‘good hamburger recipe,’ I found a few different ones that I’ve taken elements from and combined with what I recall from my mother’s blend. They are juicy, hold together well, and have a mild heat to them that can be made to taste by adjusting the cayenne.
Ingredients
- 1 egg, beaten
- ⅓ cup barbeque sauce
- 1 ½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 ½ pounds lean ground beef
- ⅓ onion, minced
- ½ cup bread crumbs
- ⅓ cup light sour cream, or as needed
