Fresh Homemade Salsa

Description

Another salsa recipe called for a fresh jalapeno (I think), but I had green chiles in a can on hand. This salsa tastes great, so I’m sticking with it!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped tomatoes
  • ¼ cup chopped red onion
  • ¼ cup chopped yellow onion
  • 2 tablespoons canned green chilies
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Combine tomatoes
  2. red onion
  3. yellow onion
  4. green chilies
  5. lime juice
  6. cilantro
  7. garlic
  8. cumin
  9. and salt in a food processor. Pulse until mixture is combined but still chunky.
  10. Transfer salsa to a bowl
  11. cover with plastic wrap
  12. and refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
