Description
These are soft sugar-type cookies made with sourdough starter to give them a little extra tang.
Ingredients
- 1 cup white sugar
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1 egg
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease baking sheets
- or line them with parchment paper.
- Cream sugar and butter in a large bowl. Beat in sourdough starter and egg. Stir in flour
- baking powder
- vanilla extract
- salt
- and baking soda until smooth. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake in the preheated oven until edges are golden
- 10 to 12 minutes.
