FROGHOPPER’s Candied Ginger Carrots

Description

Ginger adds a very nice layer of flavor and perks up basic candied carrots for a side that the whole family will love!

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 ounce) package baby carrots
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Bring carrots and water to a boil in a saucepan
  2. reduce heat to low
  3. and simmer until the carrots are tender
  4. about 10 minutes. Drain carrots; stir in butter until carrots are coated. Stir in brown sugar
  5. ginger
  6. and salt; bring to a boil
  7. and cook the carrots
  8. stirring often
  9. until the carrots are glazed
  10. 2 to 3 minutes.

Total Time: 20 mins
