Bubba’s Pretzel Salad

Description

Oh so yummy, and massively addictive!! A sweet layered dessert with a pretzel crust and a pineapple topping.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup crushed pretzels
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 (8 ounce) tub frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained with juice reserved

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl
  2. mix together crushed pretzels
  3. 1/2 cup sugar and melted butter until blended. Press into the bottom of a 9×9 inch baking dish.
  4. In another bowl
  5. beat 1/2 cup sugar and cream cheese until fluffy. Fold in whipped topping. Spread over the pretzel layer in dish.
  6. In a small saucepan
  7. stir together cornstarch and 1/4 cup sugar. Mix in reserved pineapple juice
  8. and bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook
  9. stirring until thickened
  10. about 5 minutes. Stir in crushed pineapple. Spread over the whipped layer in the dish. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 1/2 hours
  11. or until firm.

Total Time: 25 mins
