Butter Pecan Cookies

Description

These cookies are very moist…my husband’s favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • ⅔ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl
  2. cream butter
  3. brown sugar
  4. and egg. Mix until well blended. Slowly add flour and salt; mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  6. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on cookie sheets. Flatten balls with the bottom of a glass dipped in flour. Press a pecan into the top of each dough ball.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven until lightly colored
  8. 10 to 12 minutes.
