Sesame Seed Oil Hummus

Description

Delicious hummus recipe that does not use tahini. Mashing the chickpeas is optional, but I think it makes it blend easier.

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas (garbanzo beans) – drained, rinsed, and mashed
  • 2 tablespoons water, or more as needed
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seed oil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
