Easy Faux Chocolate Mousse

Description

This is a quick recipe that tricks the eyes and the palate in to thinking it’s authentic chocolate mousse made with cream and eggs.

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) container mascarpone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ΒΌ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Mix mascarpone cheese
  2. whipping cream
  3. and vanilla extract in a bowl.
  4. Melt chocolate chips in the top of a double boiler over simmering water
  5. stirring frequently and scraping down the sides with a rubber spatula to avoid scorching.
  6. Fold melted chocolate into the mascarpone cheese mixture.
  7. Refrigerate until set
  8. 1 to 2 hours.
