Cherry Buttercream Frosting

Description

A delicious and tangy buttercream frosting for cakes and cupcakes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • ⅓ cup cherry preserves, or more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Cream butter in a bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until fluffy. Beat in confectioners’ sugar gradually until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in heavy cream
  3. 1 tablespoon at a time
  4. until frosting reaches spreading or piping consistency. Mix in cherry preserves and vanilla extract.
