Chocolate Pecan Pie I

Description

This is made just like a traditional pecan pie, with the addition of chocolate chips. It is very fudgy. It is always the first dessert to go at our family’s Thanksgiving!

Ingredients

  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
  • 3 eggs
  • ⅔ cup white sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ⅓ cup margarine, melted
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Combine corn syrup
  3. sugar
  4. melted margarine
  5. eggs
  6. and salt in a mixing bowl; beat with an electric mixer until combined. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Pour mixture into pie crust.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven until set
  8. 40 to 50 minutes.
  9. Cool completely before serving.
