Chewy No Bake Granola Bars

Description

These granola bars are easy and delicious. They taste just like the store-bought chewy kind. My husband asks me to make these at least once a week!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup steel-cut oats
  • 1 cup crispy rice cereal
  • ½ cup chopped mixed dried fruit
  • ½ cup chopped almonds
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix rolled oats
  3. steel-cut oats
  4. rice cereal
  5. dried fruit
  6. and almonds together in a large bowl.
  7. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; add brown sugar
  8. honey
  9. and vanilla extract. Whisk until sugar is completely dissolved
  10. about 2 minutes. Pour over oat mixture; stir to combine.
  11. Spread oat mixture into prepared baking dish. Press chocolate chips into top. Refrigerate until chilled
  12. about 1 hour.
