Chocolate Almond Bark

Ingredients

  • ½ cup chopped almonds
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon shortening

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper. Set aside. Put chopped almonds In a skillet. Cook
  2. stirring often over medium high heat
  3. until golden brown. Remove from heat.
  4. In a metal bowl over a pan of simmering water
  5. melt chocolate chips and shortening until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 the toasted almonds. Spread onto the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle with remaining almonds
  6. and chill 30 minutes
  7. or until solid. Break into bite-size pieces to serve.
