Swiss Cheese Sauce for Chicken Cordon Bleu

Description

This Swiss cheese sauce is great for putting over chicken cordon bleu, but can also be used over egg dishes, vegetables, etc.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground pepper

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Whisk in flour gradually until smooth and all lumps are gone. Cook
