Blackened Fish Burger

Description

This fish burger consists of blackened tilapia or cod fillets with red cabbage, avocado, and spicy Greek yogurt on a whole wheat bun.

Ingredients

  • 1 (6 ounce) tilapia fillet
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce
  • 1 whole wheat hamburger bun (such as Wonder® Bread)
  • 1 leaf red cabbage
  • 3 slices avocado

Instructions

  1. Heat a cast iron skillet or griddle over medium-high heat until hot
  2. about 10 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile
  4. rub tilapia with Cajun seasoning and set aside.
  5. Combine Greek yogurt and Sriracha in a bowl; mix well. Place mixture onto one side of the bun; add red cabbage and avocado.
  6. Cook fish in the hot skillet or griddle until almost black
  7. but not burned
  8. about 2 minutes per side; it will should be crunchy on the outside but flaky on the inside. Place fish on the prepared bun.
