Scallop and Oyster Stew

Description

If you prefer, increase the amount of scallops and eliminate the oysters. If you prefer thinner stew, add another 1/2 cup milk.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • ⅔ cup thin-sliced green onion
  • 2 tablespoons minced prosciutto (Optional)
  • ½ cup diced celery
  • 1 pound large scallops, quartered
  • 2 pints oysters with liquid
  • 1 cup frozen corn, thawed
  • ⅓ cup peeled, seeded, and diced tomato
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 1 teaspoon minced jalapeno pepper
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
