A simple and delicious recipe passed down from my Italian great-grandmother.
Ingredients
- 2 (8 ounce) jars tuna packed in oil, drained
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 large egg, beaten
- ΒΌ cup olive oil
- 1 (8 ounce) can pasta sauce
Instructions
- Combine tuna
- Parmesan cheese
- bread crumbs
- and egg in a medium mixing bowl. Form into around 7 patties.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly brown patties in the hot oil
- 2 to 3 minutes per side.
- Bring pasta sauce to a simmer in a separate skillet. Add tuna patties
- cover with sauce
- and let simmer for 10 minutes.
