Description
I use this recipe when I have leftover baked salmon. If I do not think I will have enough for this dish, I add canned salmon. You can also add other ingredients to suit your taste: hard-boiled eggs, minced jalapeno, pickles, celery, etc.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 1 clove garlic, minced, or more to taste
- 2 cups mashed cooked salmon
- ¼ cup mayonnaise, or to taste
- 2 tablespoons capers
- 1 ½ tablespoons lemon juice, or more to taste
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
- 1 baguette
- 1 tomato, sliced, or more to taste
- ⅓ cup finely shredded mozzarella cheese
- ⅓ cup finely shredded Swiss cheese
- ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
