Whiting Meuniere

Description

Meuniere is a classic that can’t go wrong. Traditionally it is done with sole, but I used whiting with impressive results, and so decided to spread the joy.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds whiting fish fillets
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon, halved, divided
  • ΒΌ cup butter, divided
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon capers

Cook Time: 15 mins

Total Time: 25 mins
