Description
These grilled tilapia tacos are a recipe that I have perfected over a couple of years. They are traditional, wholesome, and a little spicy. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1 cup canola oil
- ¾ cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 4 jalapeno peppers, chopped, or to taste
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 limes, juiced
- 1 tablespoon salt
- ground black pepper to taste
- 1 pound fresh tilapia fillets
- 1 cup Mexican crema
- 1 dash habanero pepper sauce, or to taste
- 10 (10 inch) flour tortillas
- ¼ medium head green cabbage, julienned
- ½ red onion, julienned
- 2 bunches green onions, finely chopped
- ¾ cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 cup salsa
- 3 limes, quartered
